Engineer for Vision Embedded Systems
The applied research and industrial activities conducted within the Vision Embedded Systems section of CSEM are devoted to capture, process and extract visual information from scenes. Our activity spreads from the development of complete system solution and innovative ASIC for pre-processing images to the algorithmic for elaborating the captured information.
As a Vision Embedded Systems Engineer you will participate in our efforts in research and development, comprising:
- HW design of embedded vision system architectures implementing steps from scene to sensor to processing
- SW development for embedded vision system including peripherals drivers, algorithms (CNNs, NNs, ML) with the help of data scientists, optimization (power, speed, footprint)
- Specification of Ultra Low Power (ULP) vision systems based on custom ASICs, in coordination with SoC & Sensor designers
- Acquisition and lead of multidisciplinary industrial projects (link with other CSEM activity fields like optics, biology, medical, microsystems, RF, ...).
You are in possession of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science with 1-2 year(s) of experience preferably in an industrial environment and have interest for topics, such as hardware & software design (product oriented), signal & image processing, machine learning and project management. You have a passion for experimentation, exploration and finding of new solutions in collaboration with talented people. Curious, autonomous and hands-on, you have the ability to adapt to new situations. Moreover, you possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and are a good team player. Finally, you are fluent in English and ideally also in French. Experience in proposal writing and project building would be a plus.
