The University of Engineering and Management of the State of Vaud  belongs to the network of specialist higher education institutes in western Switzerland (HES-OS). 

 

It trains engineers in the theoretical and practical fields required to hold positions of great management or technical responsibility in industry. The holders of an HES diploma are keenly sought after for their ability to solve technical problems and manage complex projects.

Applied research at HEIG-VD :  

The Center for Technology Transfer (CETT) of HEIG-VD works with industry circles to increase the technological development of firms and to support them so as to optimise their production processes. It not only encourages technology transfer but also performs testing and develops prototypes in the areas of materials, energy, mechanical engineering, microtechnology, electronics and microelectronics.
