The company was founded in 1932 by Henri de Siebenthal. It deals mainly with material machining through the removal of chips by using a full and modern range of over 26 conventional and CNC machine tools. The workshop is also equipped with digital testing devices for measurements and roughness as well as hardness, so that measurement protocols can be supplied on request. Furthermore, the company has obtained a certification enabling it to work for the field of space research.

The company can machine with high precision such materials as: stainless steel, Hastelloy, Titanium, Tantalum, Incoloy and materials commonly used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, bio-genetic, nuclear and food industries. It can equally machine the new aluminium alloys and high-performance plastic used in the aeronautic industry.
