SCHOTT
GUINCHARD was founded 35 years ago as a family firm, and produces
high-tech optical components, using mechanical machining techniques. Three
years ago, the company joined the SCHOTT group, a German multinational
producing a vast range of glass products.

Our
production site in Yverdon is the competence center for
high-value-added optical components, and produces customized parts
for the optics industry, for metrological purposes, for the sensor
industry, for the laser industry, for the medical sector, for
avionics, for the electronics industry, for the watch industry,
for the electronic display sector, etc.
Our
specific competence in microtechnology
We machine hard materials such as optical glass, filter glass, all
types of technical glass, quartz (SiO2), calcium fluoride (CaF2),
sapphire (Al2O3), ceramics, etc.

Our
production processes include machining and micro-machining on
5-axis CNC machines, twin-lap polishing, ultra-sound cleaning and packing
in cleanroom conditions, mounting and assembling, vacuum coating, etc.
